Fort Walton Beach

We went to Ft. Walton Beach for our first vacation as a family. Braedon and I went last year but this year Johnathan joined us. We were suppose to go to Orange Beach but at the last minute we cancelled our trip and went to Fl due to the oil situation. It was beautiful and of course Braedon loved every minute of it. He did have a slight issue with his teeth and a little fever but he got over it. We left home with 5 teeth and came back with 9!!! He really loved all the water although at first he didn't like the sand sticking to him but once he got used to it he was fine. THANK GOODNESS. Unfortunately Braedon has NO fear of the water. I say unfortunately because I have now seen the dangers of it. If he has a little fear I think it would be safer than none at all. He is now wearing floaties at all times or rather he says "fish". He can go and do as he pleases around any water and get around semi good....It is amazing to see him to the things that he has been doing in the water. If I really pushed I could have him swimming! Anyway that is all our news for now. We are just being lazy bums all summer. My 10 year class reunion is in July, so I am busy with that but that is about it!! Hope all is well with everyone!!!!

Summer Time

We have been enjoying summer for sure. We are either at the lake or the pool daily and thank goodness Braedon loves the water like his mama. We were lucky to have Johnathan home with us my first week off for summer and Memorial Weekend. We did our best to enjoy every minute of. Braedon has NO fear of the water which is great but can be very scary at times. He does his own thing at the lake but someone has to constantly be right with him because he screams when we put on a life jacket or anything with that sort of support... Guess he is again like his mama cause I can't stand them either. Well anyway... he is so in love with Shrek that I came upon some Shrek floaties... He kept them on and seemed to do pretty good with them although he was not so certain with himself. This past weekend I finally found some blue SMALL fabric floaties... He loves them too because they have fish on them. He keeps them on the entire time and can now do as he pleases around bodies of water... Praise the Lord!!! It was getting scary being around water with Mr. Independent. He will slide down the slide and has jumped off the diving board several times... Next week we are going to the beach... I guess to play in the oil but we are sure to have a good time!!! Hopefully Braedon will love that as well.
